St. Luke’s Primary School achieves the Silver Active Sports Mark
As part of our involvement with the Bournemouth and Poole PESPA programme (PE, Sport and Physical Activity), we have been awarded the Silver Active Sports Mark for 2013-2014. This builds upon all of the hard work that has gone in to the school curriculum over the last few years.
The award is given to schools in recognition of the commitment to school PE and sport through intra-school activities (such as house and whole school competitions), inter-school activities (fixtures and festivals competing against other schools) and participation in county level competitions (such as the Dorset Games, in which last year we were fortunate to get our netball team through to the county finals).
We plan to take part in many more intra and inter school competitions throughout the rest of the school year. Watch this space for more information!
